Analysis of War of the World

H.G. Wells has written many wonderful novels throughout his career and many of which have become some of the most renowned and popular features in literary history. In my opinion, his most impressive science fiction novels was War of the Worlds.

War of the Worlds was written in 1898 during the peak of Wells literary career. The novel is about a man who must venture through a London and world wide invasion of martians, and the struggles he faces. One of the major themes of the novel is the over whelming resilience of man through difficult situations. Throughout the story, the narrator stays Strong through all of the hardships that he faces and in the end is victorious. Another underling theme in the novel is that of the horrors of war and that of the strong will survive is present throughout the story.

War of the Worlds ha been the inspiration for many different interpretations and other literary works. War of the Worlds was created into a movie in 1953 and then again in 2005. The most famous of these different interpretations was that of Orson Wells radio broadcast in 1938 the caused a nation wide panic as a result of the realistic features and mood of the broadcast.

War of the Worlds was of of Wells greatest literary creations and will be a predominant fixtures in the science fiction genre for years to come.
