
Herbert George Wells was born on September 21,1866 in Kent Europe to Joseph Wells and Sara Neal. H.G. or "Bertie" was the forth and youngest child and lived a pretty interesting life. Wells was born into a lower middle class family who struggled to make ends meet. The family owned a small business with made little money, so to make some extra money, Joseph played as an amateur cricket player. 1874 was a key year for Wells future. In this year, Wells broke his led and became bedridden. During this time Wells took an interest in books and grew the desire to become a writer. In 1849 Wells went to a private school to further his skills but had to leave as a result of family issues. After returning from Thomas Morley commercial Academy, Wells began many unsuccessful apprenticeships ranging form a drape to a teacher. Wells married twice and divorced only once. He had two boys with wife Amy Catherine Robbins. Even though Wells had many affairs and a daughter with one, Amy din not divorce him. Wells died on August 13,1946 reportedly of diabetes or liver cancer. During his life, Wells created many literary masterpieces and will always be considered one o the greatest writers of all time.
